Introduction
On January 18th 2001, a survey related to the "Introduction of Information Technology and Communications in the city of Lleida" was presented to the public.
This survey collated data on the level of equipment and use of information and communication technologies among the 41.000 households in the city of Lleida in December 2000.
This was an important and exhaustive work, which allowed to better prepare our city and its companies for new information and telecommunication technologies.
As indicated during the presentation, the institutions, social groups and official bodies directly concerned and responsible for the survey, have to join forces in order to realize the study.
This was the starting point for the forming of a follow-up commission made up by representatives from various bodies and companies linked to the city.
