Study 2009 of the Observatory TIC on the use of the new technologies to the homes of Lleida
El Estudio de este año sobre el uso de las nuevas tecnologías a los hogares leridanos concluye que el 94,2% de los ordenadores de Lleida tienen conexión a Internet. Este dato supone una proporción ocho puntos superior a la de dos años atrás, cuando el Observatorio TIC de Lleida realizó la última encuesta. El alcalde de Lleida, Àngel Ros, ha destacado el elevado uso de las TIC por parte de la gente mayor de Lleida y el hecho que no haya diferencias en los datos de los diferentes barrios de la ciudad.
The Study of this year on the use of the new technologies to the leridanos homes concludes that 94.2% of the computers of Lleida have connection to Internet. This data supposes a proportion back eight points superior to the one of two years, when the Observatory TIC of Lleida realised the last survey. The mayor of Lleida, Àngel Ros, is outstanding the elevated use of the TIC on the part of the greater people of Lleida and the cause that are not differences in the data of the different districts from the city.
The survey has been realised on 858 people by telephone, with an error sample of 3.4%.
In 10 years connectivitat has been duplicated to the Network more
If it express the domestic access to the network in terms of all the sample, this it is possible for a 72.4% of the homes of Lleida. A number that, in the 2000, did not arrive at 30%. In ten years the access of the homes has been duplicated to the network more, so that the presence in the domestic scope of machines that still do not have connection goes way to occur residual. Indeed, they are only a 6% of the total.
If we compared the data of Lleida with those of the rest of Catalonia, we will see that the percentage of leridanos homes with access to the network (72.4%) is almost 20 points over the data of the total of the country (54.4%). Simultaneously, the homes of Lleida that are connected to the network with broadband (65.6%) also surpass in almost 25 percentage points those of the total of Catalonia (41.9%).
As far as the use of the technologies by districts within Lleida, the study concludes that there are no remarkable differences among them, or in terms of level of computer science equipment or access to the network. The one that yes that suggests the data is that the access to the network reaches with more notoriety the different strips from age, especially greater people: the results of the samples indicate that the sporadic users of the network have increased in Lleida more than 20 percentage points the last years. If the surveys of years 2007 and 2005 showed that the users who had acceded sometimes to the network were 54.5% and 53.6% respectively, this year the samples have demonstrated that at the moment are a 74.2%. By all this, to part of the fact that these last years has been key by the diffusion of the use of Internet, one insinuates that the intermittent users are those that have increased to their presence these last years more.
Near one decade of pursuit of the use of the TIC
The December of 2000 a survey with respect to the implantation of the Technologies of the Information and Communication to the homes of the city of Lleida was realised, that appeared at the beginning of 2001. Simultaneously, the 2002 the pursuit became of the implantation of the new technologies in the leridanas companies. Since then, in alternative years, pursuit surveys have been occurred on the use of the TIC as much in the homes to as in the companies.
Simultaneously, and to be able to give continuity to this work of pursuit of the evolution of the Society of the Information in our city, a 2002 agreement between the diverse institutions was signed the year and implied companies and a commission of pursuit from the implantation of the Technologies of the Information and Communication to the city of Lleida was constituted.
This agreement, that is abierto to all the companies and institutions that want to participate, is signed at this moment by:
